·          Engineer all telecom outside plant including but not limited to copper and fiber cables and splicing, multiplexers and sonet technologies, termination equipment, pole lines and guying, and the Verizon’s fiber to the premises

·          Field, survey, draft, and task code work orders for fiber and copper work orders

·          Meet customers to plan their projects including new housing developments, new buildings, upgrades, and highway jobs

·          Create several databases to monitor and prioritize work orders and meet deadlines

 

Outside Plant Engineer

·          Meet with other communication companies to go over their make ready projects to add their facilities to Verizon’s outside plant structures

·          Engineer fiber to the cell site project

·          Create several databases to monitor and prioritize work orders and meet deadlines

·          Drafter work orders into auto cad system

·          Maintain Verizon property and customer records

 

Drafter

·          Draft and post work orders into auto cad systems

·          Single point of contact for construction for the Verizon fiber to the prem project

·          Create and implement drafter’s responsibilities for the Verizon fiber to the prem project

·          Maintain company property records

·          Convert auto cad files into Verizon’s auto cad systems for buried developments and highway projects

·          Train drafters on all job responsibilities

·          In-charge for supervisor while they are out of the office

Dispatcher

·          Dispatch and assist technicians to emergency and out of service situations

·          Receive, prioritize, and take the necessary action for calls from 911 centers, police departments, supervisors, and other Verizon departments

·          Monitor cable air pressure system

·          Constantly keep supervisors aware and updated on dispatches and problems

·          Train dispatchers on all of the job responsibilities

·          Create several databases to track and update dispatches

 

 

 

Installation and Maintenance Technician

·          Installation and maintenance of phone, video, security, and home automation systems

·          Installation of central vacuum systems

·          Program, test, and troubleshoot security and home automation systems

·          Train new technicians on job responsibilities
